I'm into it. Sometimes I see people with outlandishly high GMAT scores and they'll mention some good-looking WE or ECs, and then I'll discover they've been dinged somewhere, and I'm like: What the...?! I have no chance.

Then I dig a little and find out they have like a 0.8 GPA or something and it makes more sense. Helps me feel like there is some logic to it all.

Even if, probably, there really isn't.

This is actually one of the reasons we are implementing this.

For International candidates, this *might* not add any value, besides some of them might not be able to provide a GPA, since you're not allowed to convert.

The WE is great! +1

Can the GPA field be a little longer? I wanted to put sub-3 or <3 but it didn't accept either one.

Also major level of school

like "3.3 top ivy poli sci"

Is there a way to not have blanks auto-populated as 0's? each time the profile is updated, those zero's get filled in, and then you have to go manually delete them...

Also, would it be possible for the WE to allow decimals? I think I put in 2.5 and it rounded it to 2.

Obviously, not high priority changes. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for the all feedback. We'll gather these and get them fixed.

Also, do you like the WE section as is? Or would you prefer:
WE 1: <free text>
WE 2: <free text>
WE 2: <free text>
For the free text, you can enter # years and industry. This will make the space less cluttered and give you more freedom.

Asimov - I think what you proposed may be preferred personally - people who took the GMAT 3x w/ 3 industries would have really "tall" posts... (This post is already pretty tall).

Those zeros are inserted automatically and I couldn't find a way to avoid that. However, they are deleted automatically every 2 hours, so you don't really have to delete them manually unless you want immediate results :).

I think this is a great feature. However, when you put your detailed profile information out, you run into certain kind of risks.

Perhaps these info should be viewed by members only.

First of all, I like to thank dzyubam for making the changes.

I'm not sure if that's true. I didn't deleted the "zeroes" in my profile yesterday, and they are still there.

Maybe the variable type is the issue here. It looks like the "free text" fields do not default values while the "numeric" fields default a value (same as GMAT scores). Another suggestion to look at is see if the field has a "default" property.

I think security controlled field (like the give kudos button) is a great suggestion if that's feasible.

My bad. There was an issue with automatic deletion of the zeros in WE field. It should work now.

I am in agreement with some other suggestions to have just one field (that would combine years and industry) for each WE instead of 2 (separate years field and separate industry field). But don't let this distract you - I am just a single vote
