As all top MBA programs require 2-3 years of professional experience as a minimum, I suggest you go for a Master in Finance, or a Master in Management or simply work 2-6 years and then go for an MBA

you can read more about the differences between the programs here:https://www.aringo.com/masters-in-management and here: https://www.aringo.com/masters-in-finance-mif/

Hi Aringo and everyone. I’m a professional with an engineering background and 7 years of professional experience. I currently am in a gap period that has extended for two years. How much can this affect my application and would you suggest getting back to work before applying? I’m 32 years old and kind of getting worried it might be getting a little late for me. Thank you very much!

Hi, Which are the best MBA programs for consulting in UK?
.......

Consulting is probably the most popular career path for most MBAs. All the top consulting firms recruit from the top MBA programs. so it is simple – go for the highest-ranked MBA program (in the UK: LBS, Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, City, Warwick…)
You can read more about MBA with consulting specialization here: https://www.aringo.com/mba-programs-tha ... onsulting/ but as I said, ALL top MBA programs can lead to consulting jobs

Hi crsalasmilo
Indeed top MBA programs might have a problem with your gap in employment - what can you do? be honest and explain why you have a gap and hope they will understand your story . sorry, no easy way to say this. it is a problem for top-ranked schools ...

I have seen that, for some of the top schools, job experience was not a requirement (even if they do prefer student with at least a bit of experience). So if you do consider the fact that I got a chance to get into an MBA, what would be you recommandation?

As I said before, you can’t get into a top-ranked MBA program with 6 months of experience.
you can definitely get into a lower-ranked / non-international program
What is best for you? that’s your call...
good luck!

Hi yasharoraa
Schulich is one of the best schools in Canada. Harvard, MIT etc. are among the best schools in the world.
how do they compare? hard to compare. same curriculum, same case studies, different brand, different career options...

What is best for you? your call!

so, I am assuming you will be starting your MBA in Sep-2022 => your internship will be in July 2023 - are you asking what the situation will be? no idea :) what was it like in the last two years? regular recruitment, with a lot of remote work...
