Hi guys,
I am taking the GMAT in the last week of September, so roughly 8 weeks left!
I have put together a study plan and would really appreciate your feedback. The resources I am using are
MGMAT 4th edition,
OG 12th and 13th edition together with Manhattan's companions, Quant + Verbal Review 2nd edition. I also got the new Critical Reasoning guide from Manhattan since it is said to have changed substantially, as well as the new guide on Integrated Reasoning & Essay.
What I've done so far: Worked through
MGMAT guides 1 and 2 including the exercises at the end of each chapter as well as the suggested Problem Solving and Data Sufficiency exercises in the
OG and Quant Review.
Starting from now, this is how I plan to continue (approx. 6h/day)...
Week 1 (this week):
MGMAT 3 (incl. all exercises)
Week 2:
MGMAT 4 (incl. all exercises)
Week 3: Repetition of guides 1-4;
MGMAT 5 (incl. exercises), take a quant. diagnostic at the end of the week
Week 4:
MGMAT Critical Reasoning
Week 5:
MGMAT Sentence Correction
Week 6:
MGMAT Reading Comprehension + Integrated Reasoning & Essay, take a verbal diagnostic at the end of the week
Week 7 + 8: CATs, repetition, review
error log exercises & practice, practice, practice...
In week 4-6 (when my focus will be on verbal), I plan to do 60-90min of quant exercises/repetition per day in order to remain on track with math and not forget about stuff.
What do you think of this plan? Do you have any additional suggestions or amendments?
I am aiming for a 680 score. I am not aware of my current standing as I plan to take the first test after having gone through all
MGMAT guides. But based on the quantitative exercises I have done so far, I would estimate my current level to be between 570-630.
I would really appreciate your feedback! Thank you very much in advance!
