Hey guys, I'm new here and I'm not sure if this is the right sub for this so apologies in advance if I miscategorized it, but I really need some help and guidance since I feel pretty deflated...
I have registered to sit for the GMAT on the coming 15th Feb, and along with the exam fee I decided to purchase the Official Practice Tests #3-6. Then something weird happened: I got the confirmation email for my purchase but the "Purchased Products" section of my mba.com account didn't show it. At the time of writing, it still hasn't been updated. The entire mba.com account platform is atrocious, to be honest, because I've registered for the GMAT before, I've sat for it, gotten my score report via email, and I'm now registered for a resit, but NONE of this has been updated onto my account. As far as mba.com is concerned, I don't even have a GMAT ID. It's ridiculous.
I've tried calling the relevant hotline for GMAT prep (there are only US ones) and I keep on getting the machine voice asking me to leave a message, promising that they'd get back to me; they never did. (I reside in APAC so you can imagine the sacrifice made on the sleeping front.) I wrote email upon email, to which they'll send you an automated email with a ticket for the issue.
I patiently waited for them to get back to me, and today when I went on to check the tickets, they were marked as resolved. I was so infuriated because, as far as I'm concerned, I paid for an expensive product that they're not planning on giving to me.
What are some legal recourses that I can pursue? I don't even want their prep tests anymore since this has taken more time away from my studying than has aided it. I just want to get my money back so I can invest it in more reliable third-party prep materials. (But then again, who would have known that the official one is the one that would scam you?)
