FWIW, I don't think I've ever seen an official question use nCr syntax in an answer choice (or at least not in recent years...they cut way back on hardcore permutation and combination questions ~20 years ago) and there's not a single question in the current OG or OG Quant that requires you to know nCr, so don't sweat it if you think about this more intuitively and not in a formulaic syntax.
