I'm finalizing my essays for R2 applications and need a bit of help on how to fill out the work experience sections.
Here's my info for background:
Obviously my current job is the primary one. I don't have any gaps once I began full-time employment. For the schools that don't distinguish between full and part-time employment, do I have to explain a "gap" from graduation in 2004 to 2007? If I only list the industry-specific stuff, does the time from graduation in 2004 until I started industry-specific work in 2005 look like a gap I have to explain?
NOTE: I am NOT talking about my resume. That is a one-pager that details my work and leadership at my current position.

- Have been at current full-time job since 2007
- Worked part-time jobs in my industry from 2005 to 2007
- Worked a full-time job not in my industry in 2004 after graduation

What matters to the admissions committee is the quality of the work you have done. The work experience section should include all your work experience including part-time. If I were you, I would include all the roles since my graduation in 2004. I think it hurts more if there is a gap than some work experience. Do not hesitate in mentioning about jobs outside your industry. But if you have been a part of some good deals in your part-time jobs or jobs outside your industry, they are worth a mention.
