Hi,
I am taking the GMAT in 3.5 weeks, and I was hoping to get some guidance on how to more confidently come in above a 700 for my score. I have been studying almost every day for a little over 2 months now and took my first practice test about a month in - primarily with
Magoosh but also reading these forums. I watched all the
Magoosh math lessons/some verbal and do practice questions every day along with reading/reviewing flashcards. With the practice questions, I have focused on question type (PS or DS, CR or RC or SC) over topic.
I just took my 5th practice test with GMAT prep and was pleasantly surprised to see my total score go up a lot from the 4
MGMAT tests I have taken. I did read that Quant is harder on the
MGMAT, but since my score went up more than I was expecting, so I wasn't sure how much I could trust that improvement given the different sources.
Additionally, my IR score was not great, especially compared to previous practice tests which concerns me. Are there any particular ways to improve IR? I had 10-15min of time left on both Q and V this time (on the MGMATs I was running out of time in both sections), but IR I felt a lot more rushed:
Test 1 (
MGMAT, 10/31): Total 630 (Q40, V36), IR 7.2
Test 2 (
MGMAT, 11/15): Total 630 (Q39, V37), IR 6.6
Test 3 (
MGMAT, 11/22): Total 620 (Q41, V34), IR 5.2
Test 4 (
MGMAT, 11/28): Total 650 (Q42, V37), IR 6.6
Test 5 (GMAT Prep, 12/6): Total 740 (Q48, V42), IR 4
Thanks so much!
