Finally, here the day comes when i am writing my GMAT experience. Pardon any English error😂
So , today i achieved my target score 730 so i thought it would be great to write my GMAT experience in hope it may help someone like me to achieve his/her desired score.
So , being a non English speaker , i had no exposure with English (Little in my college days).
I started my GMAT preparation in lockdown (very bad time) with Q48 V22 in first mock test . So after getting work from home,i decided to get done with my GMAT and for my first attempt i purchased a prep company course subscription with great reviews (,it would be good to hide its name) and prepared for 5 months.
Its course was full of gimmicks and i don't know why it was their policy to help only with their questions. Several times i got reply from them that your doubt is unrelated to our question or
OG question so we can't help with it 😐. Wow..
After completing their course and solving
OG completely i sat for GMAT and got 650 with v 31(my lowest score out of all GMAT mocks🤢). I thought it is over for me with GMAT . I literally cried in GMAT center.
Being in software profile i thought of giving up my GMAT dream and decided to go on with my job.
Fortunately, one day i read one guy debrief in which he mentioned about
ttp and one comment of
bb about
TTP that its course gives knowledge from zero level to advance level.
Then i thought why not give GMAT one more try.
I purchased one month plan. Firstly, i saw the course in written format ( i was fan of video tutorials) and judged it won't be good(never judge a book by its cover🤣)as my previous course was in video format and i actually cancelled
TTP subscription on first day 🤣🤣(silly me). But i was kind of stuck with one month plan (At that time i thought). Having no choice,I decided why not use it one month and then BOOM!! It found it AWESOME.
ttp course taught me from basic( My concept were not clear even with basic sentence structures and believe it or not i achieved 650 with gimmicks in my first attempt) . One thing about gimmicks is that sometimes they work sometimes they dont and can help you till v30-31 only.
Then after first month, without any doubt ,I purchased my second month subscription of
TTP.
Their SC and CR courses are just really awesome!!. If you solve their CR , Reading Comprehension will also become very easy. I recommend anyone from non- English speaking country to go with
TTP without any second thought.
ttp is great not only because of their courses but also because of their instant replies .
MartyTargetTestPrep ,really a great teacher, solved even my silliest doubt with full satisfaction . If stuck with any concept, he is the guy who can solve your doubts.
One thing i learnt from my preparation is to try to stay away from questions which are tagged as no source (no offence to anyone) as for a large number of them i encountered are either asking things never tested in GMAT or even some have none answer correct..
OG question are all you need. For more practice
ManhattanPrep @ veritasprep
ttp or other prep companies' questions are more than enough.
So after completing
TTP course and giving all 6
mgmat prep tests i wasted no day and booked my GMAT date (if you complete
TTP with full justice to yourself, you will automatically get confidence).
(One thing i used it for only verbal as my quant was already good but i believe its quant is also very good .)
So now to test day.
Initial part of verbal was going good so i didn't pay attention to time and then suddenly i saw only 1 minute with 4 question remaining .
i clicked every answer B (save time so you never have to do this). And then in quant 10 minutes remaining with 10 questions (don't know where i wasted so much time).so i did some intelligent guess in around 4 questions. i thought i have screwed up this attempt.
i submitted my AWA with light heart in the thought that i would again achieve some 650-660 but score flashed on screen 730 !! 😃😃😃. i was literally in shock and tears . And that was it , i realised my GMAT preparation journey is now over,a great relief. (maybe if i had completed my verbal and quant on time i could have achieved more score but i am more than happy with 730).
Learning - Never waste time in solving non official question. You can use good prep company question for practice but never waste time or stuck with their question if you genuinely believe the question is incorrect or out of what GMAT asks. For this i recommend
ttp 100 percent .Follow their course and do not hesitate asking any question from
MartyTargetTestPrep . He will really help with any doubt.
At last i want to thank
gmatclub and
bb for creating this awesome forum.
With this, i complete my debrief. Now looking forward for applying in some B schools.
