Congratulations!

I'm quitting by the end of June and am struggling to stay focused until then.

Yeah, I really think I was pushing my luck staying because my production had plummeted. I did not want to over stay my welcome! But I am definitely looking forward to not waking up at 5 am anymore!

Put in my two weeks today! Last day is officially June 8! I am so happy to leave this job! In two weeks, welcome back summers like they were in college, tending bar, jet skiing, boating and boozing

You suck. My last day is July 13, but I put in 90 days notice. Half-way there....

How was Bermuda?

Bermuda was awesome. Beautiful island. It still was unseasonably chilly according to the locals. Oh well I had one day at the beach where I went swimming (Horseshoe bay). The other days we spent wandering. Food was wonderful on the island. July 13th is right around the corner. I just needed time to fix up the house, paint and such before the tenets move in July 1st. Unfortunately, we had to go the renting route. But at least there is closure with the hosuing issue.

July 13th for me too. Counting down the days. Somehow my list of things to do in that time span keeps growing though..

Pre-term classes at Georgetown start the week of August 6. And I'll try to go home to Sweden before that. So much for lounging on the beach all summer huh..

Could be worse though, ASW:s at UNC starts in June.

Wow, nice and early, guess they want you to get a head start on all the other MBAs! We do not start until the 13th of August. Some of us are actually going to South Padre Island the weekend before pre-term , kind of a pre-term pre-term

EconGirl, Aaudetat, Xeo -- Are these mandatory sort of orientation things or is this for people who want to get a jump on classes so they can pursue leadership roles in clubs?

Stern has something called Summer Start that students can apply to if they want to get a couple classes out of the way to free up time for leading clubs, but the mandatory orientation for everyone else starts Aug 19th.

There's pre-MBA and analytics courses at HBS (which run during July and August), but they are by invitation only and I did not get invited. So I'll start with orientation week on September 4th. :-D Guess that still gives me 2 months off from quitting to starting.

Does anyone else feel like they are sort of just wasting time between their temp life where they are living now and their life as an MBA. I just want to move to Houston and get things rolling as this point of my life (the next tow months) seem to be meaningless. Although I guess enjoying the summer and catching up on reading and such isnt such a bad thing

Squali - Well, since the day I submitted my last application up until now, I've felt that way, just wanted to get started w/ school.

BUT, I'm totally happy to have a month and a half without work before school starts, hopefully that time doesn't fly by.

It is mandatory for all students. There is a math test that everyone has to take in order to matriculate (which is stressful to think about). This is also the time when waiver exams are offered as well as intro classes to finace, accounting, stats, econ.

I am actually enjoying some extra free time ;-) - although I have a bunch of things to still take care of - loans, health insurance, buying a computer, ...
