I know that this may be a stupid question, but are there others in this forum that are going for a traditional Master's, rather than an MBA? Just wondering because I think I am the only one going for a traditional Masters....
Anyways, here's my dilemma - my undergrad major and work experience is in accounting, but I want to bridge over to the finance field. I will be applying to MS finance programs and I'm having the toughest time with the application essay. I have to discuss why I want to enter the finance world, but how do I compose a great essay without stating the obvious facts (i.e. I am interested in finance, want to eventually work for an investment firm, etc)? What in the world can I talk about? It just seems so "boring" to talk about how much I enjoy finance, you know?
To me, I would much rather write about something else and am freaking out about this! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! Good luck to everyone in their studies - this website ROCKS!
