Find the number of ways in which you can paint a cube formed by small but identical cubes of equal size. The large is formed by 64 smaller cubes.

I don't understand the question at all. Your title says probability, but then you're asking for the number of ways, not probability.

What are the different ways you can paint the cube? Is there just color or no color? Are there multiple colors?

Exactly! I was totally blanked by the way the Q is put together. To worsen that x2suresh answered the number of ways as 1/4 :(

Hm!! nevermind..with my answer..

Forget about my post.. I find probability in the subject.. and then assumed something..and then arrived with some answer.( I can blame on financial turmoil.... :P )
