Hi,

I have read many materials on how to start learning for the GMAT. Should I start with the practice question area, or should I take the Practice Exam 1 test, which lasts 03:07:00, to discover my strengths and weaknesses?

Hi PAXON,

Taking a practice test doesn't have to be the very first thing you do, but yes, I recommend taking a practice test at some point within the first few weeks.

Hi PAXON

Your preparation depends on a number of factors, such as the time you can devote each day, the resources you use for learning, your target score, when you plan to take the GMAT and so on.

Ideally, you should start with a clear target score in mind and take a diagnostic test to see how much you need to work to get there. Once you've done that, I'd suggest having a clear study plan that helps you prepare in a structured manner. Start learning the concepts, the application of concepts and the methodologies, and then move on to practicing questions. Keep reviewing your performance and adjusting your approach as necessary. This article will give you a good idea on how to start: How to Effectively Plan Studies for GMAT?

Don't hesitate to reach out if you need to discuss this in more detail and need help with a strategy to get beyond the 700 mark. I'd be happy to help.

You can always write back to me here or the better way would be to connect over a call and have a discussion. You can schedule a free consultation call using the below link.
