Hello GMAT community,
I started to prepare myself for the GMAT in march, I took a 1 on 1 preparation class here in Bangkok and worked through the official GMAT book 3 times, I covered every part and every question. Today I had my first GMAT appointment and scored a total of 460 points, in detail:
Quantitative: 28 scaled score (Percentile 22)
Verbal: 26 scaled score (Percentile 40)
Total: 460 scaled score (Percentile 24)
My feeling regarding the AWA is pretty good, but I don't think that it will effect my overall total score a lot. I'm kind of disappointed, although I did three GMAT prep tests with the official software and scored 470 points. Right now I feel that I could not have done it any better. But I think that is quite normal, or?
Regarding my personal goal, I just see the GMAT as a bonus for my normal application. I am still in my undergraduate studies and I will graduate in summer 2011. I want to apply for a "normal" master studies, not a MBA, since I don't have any postgraduate working experience. My first language is german.
From your experiences, what do you guys advise me to do? When should I retake the GMAT? Do you even advise me to do so? When should I do it?
Thank you for your help
