I gave my first attempt on feb18 2015 and scored a low 580. I was completely lost and disappointed. So whatever I regained my self confidence,joined E-GMAT online course and started preparing for my second attempt. My first attempt enemy was timing. I tried hard and improve my timing on CR and RC. I could only manage to complete the e-gmat SC section. I prepared sets of 15 CR and 15 SC and 4 RC passages. I worked on my timing well. I used the MGMAT CATS and scores always used to hover around 670-680 range. After 2months of hard work i booked my test date (may14 2015).
TEST DAY
AWA IR and QUANT were just a breeze completed them without any pressure. Took the complete 8 minute break and was getting ready for verbal saying to myself okay do the best you can with what you have. I started my verbal section initial 5 or may be 6 question were quite simple and then the test kept throwing at me a lot of CR EVALUATE questions. I was like errrrrr . And RC didn't go well either. Finally pressed the submit button and bam 640 Q49 V 28. I was happy that at least my quant improved but verbal just 2 point improvement.I just cannot pin point what my prep mistakes were.
So with my TOEFL score of 96 and GMAT 640 I decided to apply to some B-schools for an MSF program and got accepted to UT dallas Jindal school of management. This was the only school that I applied to because I missed the deadlines of most other schools. BUT my goal is to get into UT AUSTIN MCCOMBS SCHOOL OF BUSINESS and pursue a career in finance for which i need a GMAT score of 700.
So experts please help me to reach my target score.

I'm hoping that you can answer a few questions about your timeline:
1) Since you last took the GMAT on May 14th, have you done any studying since then?
2) When is the application deadline for McCombs?
3) Why do you think you *need* a 700?
4) When does your MSF Program begin?

Hello Rich thanks for the reply.
1. Yes I've been preparing on and off for the test because I'm busy with some other work at the moment.
2. the deadline is late december.
3. I don't need a perfect 700 but just want to score in the middle 80% range which is 680-740 for Austin.
4. My MSF program begins in summer 2016.
