Hi Guys,
Today I took my first GMAT full practice test on mbacom.
I haven't yet studied at all, not even seen any GMAT questions before.
All I had was what I can remember from high school.
As a result I got 640 (Q49, V28).
I must say I was surprised by the ease of the Quant part.
I think with some polishing, I can easily top the quant part.
I am a bit disappointed with the verbal part. I should spend time especially on sentence correction. As a non-native speaker, I had difficulty in guessing the answers.
My plan is taking the GMAT in Aug and spending around 3 months for studying.
What do you think?
Would that be easy to reach 750+ level?
I haven't bought the books yet, which ones would you recommend? especially
for the low verbal?

I wouldn't say that scoring above 750 is every really "easy" as such. I used the MGMAT (Manhattan GMAT) books and they were very good. Definitely the three OG (Official GMAT) guides as well. Other than that, I can't recommend much else since that's mostly what I used.
Your score is a good place to start, now just work on the sections you're having trouble with. Good luck!

I studied for about 2 months and the first test I gave (PR) was in the 600 range. Just practice, practice and practice some more. OG and MGMAT are the best resources (in my opinion).
