Hi Fareeha,

A 600 is a good initial CAT score (the Average Score on the Official GMAT hovers around 550 most years). Many GMATers spend 3 months (or more) of consistent study time before they hit their 'peak' scores, so giving yourself 4 months of potential study time is a smart choice. Whether that's enough time for you to get to the point that you can consistently score 750+ or not is not a question that anyone can answer for certain (as that Score require that you hone a variety of Quant and Verbal skills). Thankfully, the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam, so you CAN train to score at a higher level.

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on your timeline and your goals:

1) What study materials do you currently have access to?
2) Going forward, how many hours do you think you can consistently study each week?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

So my first mock score is a 600 ( Q40 V33).

Is it plausible for me to reach a 750 in 4 months time if I do dedicated preparation.

Browsing the Share GMAT Experience for similar score jumps may be helpful. Could provide some helpful insight into how long/likely such score jumps are. This person ended up with a 740, for example. Went from a V31 to a V40 (retake). Could be some quick tips/resources you could check out.

Hi Fareeha.

Four months is a decent amount of time to prepare. At the same time, 750 is a pretty high score that most GMAT test-takers don't achieve. So, to go from 600 to 750 in four months, you'll have to prepare very effectively.

To learn how to prepare optimally to score 750+ on the GMAT, you could watch the following video.

Hi Fareeha,

600 is a very nice start! Yes, I do think that if you work hard, and follow a "smart" study plan, you have a shot at 750. With that in mind, here is some advice on how you can structure your study plan:
