Hi,
I am thinking to take GMAT so I randomly took a free prep exam on princeton review. I didnt even know what the exam consisted of before hand. It gave me a score of 590 and I did very bad in integrated reasoning with score of only 1. I hadnt done any test like it before. I am thinking to apply to top schools with average scores of 700.
To give my background, i have no financial back ground as I am physician with a seven year experience. I was wondering if some one could shed light on if a target of 700 is achievable on actual test and what are my odds of getting into this kind of program with no business or financial background? appreciate any input. thank you

590 is a good score to start with and 700 is definitely achievable...Check out these links..

Thank you very much for your reply. I see that the school I want to apply takes both GMAT and GRE. Does it matter which test I take? I took GRE about 12 yrs back and remember getting good scores. Do schools prefer one score over other? Appreciate your help.
