7 is right.

LCM of 6,7,8,9 and 12 = 504 so the bells will toll together after 504 sec i.e 3600/504 =7

Agree with 7 ... LCM = $$2^33^27^1$$ = 504
1 hour = 60 mins * 60 secs = 3600 secs
3600/504 = 7 and change

We require the LCM, however do not need the actual LCM Value

LCM = 2 * 3 * 2 * 6 * 7

$$Tolls = \frac{3600}{2 * 3 * 2 * 6 * 7} = \frac{50}{7} \approx{7}$$
