Since each of the 4 people has to pay $6 more , the share of the 5th person would hve been 4*6 = $24

One person's share in a group of 5 people would have been 24$

So , the total cost of lunch = 5*24 = $120

4(X+6)=L
SUBTRACT TO FIND:
x-24=0
x=24 and L is 120
checking: 5 * 24 is 120 and 4 * 30 (24+6) is 120

Total cost split among 5 = X
each paid X/5 = Y --------------(1)

when 4 of them paid for X cost lunch
the amount paid by each raised by Y+6

X/4 = Y+6
X/4 - 6 = y -----------------(2)

equating both
x/4 - 6 = x/5
x-24/4 = x/5
5x-120 = 4x
x= 120

Answer is E
