Following is a sentence that has been provided as an example in the GC Grammar Bk. Angelina Jolie, together with her husband Brad Pitt, is arriving to the fund raiser. I always thought You arrive at a destination and not to a destination
The Following Sent is another example of Subject verb agreement quest . The war between the opposing forces has caused many people to flee the city. There is a chapter which explains when we should use "between" and among. The chapter says that between is used when between is used to show the relationship between 2, 3 or more groups/individual entities whereas among is used for a single group like "among the Players " , "among the Directors ". So is the sentence "The war between the opposing forces has caused many people to flee the city." correct ?
