Are you sure you copied the question correctly? bd = 1 and b + d = 3 do not have an integer solution for b and d.

Also, this type of algebraic questions is no longer a part of the syllabus of GMAT Focus. So, you can ignore this question altogether.­

Oh yes I checked again, I copied the correct question. 

Also, where I can find the updated syllabus? I just want to know what kind of algebric questions I need to practice. ­
