Since the options are all integers and per the question the relation is y = (x+2)/3 so x can be either 1 or 4, but since all are different numbers so x cannot be 1

So x=4, Median=2

In my view, the question is incorrectly framed.
It should have been "Integers", instead of "number".
A fraction after all is also a number.

Itis perfectly framed.
You will have to ignore y=4/3 and x=2, as it is not in the options. The only remaining options would be 2,4..
