1.For what value of K will the pair of equations 3x+4y=12 and Kx+12y=30
not have a unique solution ??

It is possible when two lines are parallel. lines are parallel when they have the same slope. In other words, 3:4=k:12 --> k=9

IMO B.

there will be no unique solution while x and y are valid for multiple values i.e. two equations are not solvable. Therefore, both the equations will have similar co-efficients.

3(3x+4y) > 9x + 12y
