1 + 20/k
20/k should be integer, so when 20 divided by k, the rimainder has to be zero.
But 3 does not have this condition.
Option C

For which of the following values of k is (k + 20)/k NOT an integer?

A. 1
B. 2
C. 3
D. 4
E. 5

Official Explanation

This question can be solved quickly by trying answer choices. We might as well start with 3, since it isn't a factor of 20 and will go in the denominator. Indeed, 23/3 is 7 2/3, so it is not an integer.

The correct answer is (C).

For k=3, the expression becomes 23/3 which results in a decimal number and hence is not a integer.
