I'm currently on H1B, and my wife is on a dependent visa (H4). If I get into a US b-school, I think I'll be on a F1 visa, and my wife will be on a F2 visa, which does not allow her to work.
She will have to apply for an H1B if she wants to work here. Is there any student dependent visa out there that allows the spouse of the visa-holder to work without getting an H1B? Can the school help out in any way (e.g. can she use the career services center etc.) ?
To the best of my knowledge, London Business School is the only school I know that allows the partner of a student to work on the dependent visa.
Any help or insight would be tremendously helpful. Thanks much in advance!!!

I have a masters degree from US (I was not married at that time) but I can tell you that there is not much the career services can do to help you in that matter. You can try approaching the International Student Organization at the Univ for some of the visa related questions and they can help you out. The only visa on which she can work AFAIK will be a H1B. You can try some immigration portals to find out the right information about this. Usually https://forums.immigration.com/ works for me

Very few international spouses work. I have numerous friends whose spouse are pursuing a degree themselves. It is also very common for people to start families since their kids will be born US citizens as long as they are born in the US.
