Hi Charudatta22,

Thanks very much for sharing your experience in using Forum Quiz to improve DI.

I have heard concerns from GMAT takers that DI questions from non-official sources are not as "authentic" as those from OG. However, OG is no longer an option within the Source filter in Forum Quiz.

Did you apply any particular Source filter when constructing your DI practice set? Or you just let the system throw questions at you from random sources?

Hello Everyone!

In my first gmat fe attempt, in DI, I scored mere 76 but after only couple of weeks of try on forum quiz I improved to 81.
I would suggest to untimely practice the forum quiz -construct of roughly 4 questions from all category except MSR- you can choose 1 or 2
and just keep on practicing everyday with set of 2 to 3 sessions as above.
your brain will develop the switching between quant and verbal and also get efficient on working together on quant and verbal aspect of DI.

Don't worry on accuracy of your answer or nature question or difficulty of quizzes, its just for your brain to adapt the environment.

How did the level of quiz DI questions fare with respect to GMAT? Did you find GMAT questions easier after?

Hello

Indeed there is no such filter,
but in case of DI as we all know authentic questions are far limited, so only option is to use what's available to improve your practice and prepare mindset required.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

Agreed. This is indeed a great way to create a large number of DI sectional practice sets. Thanks again for sharing with the GMAT community.

Hi Charudatta22,

I hope you don't mind me adding a bit more thoughts to your original post. I'm getting a little excited about this practice method that you shared using Forum Quiz.

I went into the individual DI sub-forum - G&T, MSR and TPA, and applied source filters that are available in Forum Quiz mode for each question type. Counting the number of questions from filtered results, we can get 545 G&T questions, 124 for MSR, and 438 for TPA, respectively, theoretically in Forum Quiz. I didn't count the DS questions as there are more than 10,000 questions available so it would not become the constraining factor.

Even if one include 2 MSR question (sets) into every quiz, one can create 60+ DI practice sets using the method you shared. This indeed significant expands opportunity for DI sectional practice under timed condition, if the goal is to have large quantity of practice.
