Hm… congratulations I guess 😂
None of these programs are really screaming Consulting attorney one. I may be a little biased being in Seattle, but I feel it’s easier for foster students to find a job than for rice. Or at least it used to be, when Taxi used to be hiring people and not laying them off in thousands 🥴
Theoretically, you can apply for consulting from any of these programs practically with small class sizes, you will have only a handful of people in those rules each year which makes it tough. This means you have a few alarms to leverage and who people to help you with case prep work. It’s kind of like a cycle, the more people a School sense to Consulting, the more successful it’s other students and generations will be. Similarly, if only a few students going to Consulting, it’s hard to compete with establish programs that have strong inroads….
I would also throw this out and mention that consulting is very competitive for international students. It has become more accessible in the last few years with excessive pandemic hiring but it’s about to get tighter again. The figures I’ve seen and experience I have heard, only a fraction of those looking to work in consulting actually are able to get jobs. The reason is not discrimination but rather language skills and communication in presentation skills. It’s hard in another language… so I would consider your Plan B perhaps to be more realistic even if it’s less aspirational. And in that case, if tech is an option or finance or operations, it’s hard to find a more welcoming employer than Amazon for an MBA graduate. So I would probably recommend foster.
