We can eliminate options A and E easily as they are irrelavant. Out of B,C and D i choose D. although B and C are very close.

C. claiming that Fred has failed to take relevant information into account.

Fred failed to take into account the fact that Kathlees works only on documentary films, and directors of documentaries rarely work with famous actors.

Had he taken this relevant fact into account, his conclusion would have been different and correct.

I think it is D.

The argument says:
while Fred is right in supposing that most successful film directors work with famous actors, his conclusion is not warranted.
and then provides evidence of kathlees to base the above conclusion.

The argument mistakenly assumes that Fred is talking about all famous directors and tries to criticize the conclusion on the basis of one director.
