I took my GMAT finally yesterday again after a gap of 3 months. And got 670.(Maths-49,Eng-33,IR-2).
It was a complete disaster and I was not prepared for that.
During the test,I felt Maths was not very difficult and I was worried that would lead to 44 or 45 in Maths. (Coz only when you get difficult questions, you get a good score.)
In the 8 mins break after Maths,I was convinced I had screwed Maths section.
While during my verbal section,I did not feel it was that easy and that made me happy. And to make me even happier,I got a Bold faced CR (my 19th question) and that probably made me too happy. And I finished the test 10 mins before the scheduled time.
To my utter dismay,
IT was verbal section which was actually screwed.
Quant was not that bad.
IR-2(But it was difficult and I knew i would get 2.Out of 12 questions,10 had 3 questions each,so basically 32 questions.And I was having panic attack.
Last time I taxed my brains too much on IR,scored 8 on that ,but overall 580.
I certainly did not want to repeat the mistake.
My average GMAT scores in the GMATPREP test were:
1)730
2)720
I assumed they were my inflated scores since I had already seen those questions earlier while preparing the last time.
So,I bought 2 additional tests from GMATPREP.
But I scored fairly well in the two new tests as well.
3)740
4)760(But a few questions were from the Test3 in this one.
Apart from GMATPREP,my Manhattan scores were in the range 679-690.
My preparation:
1)GMAT 13th ed
2)GMAT 2nd ed
3)Bunnel questions almost daily for Quant
4)
E gmat for SC
Now the thing is,I don't want to take GMAT again unless it is a gone case for sure.
I want to do MS in Data Analytics from CMU OR ASU or Texas,Austin or NUS.
Is there some hope for me or do I need to prepare all over again coz There is no guarantee I will do better.
