Hi guys!
Today I finally took the GMAT and scored 740 (45Q/63%, 47V/99%, overall 97%). I am very happy about the overall score, but a little disappointed in my quant performance. However, managing a 47 Verbal score as a non-native speaker is pretty impressive.

-590 MGMAT CAT1 (03.11.) - unprepared
-600 MGMAT CAT2 (17.11.)
-650 MGMAT CAT 3 (25.11.)
-690 GMATPrep 1 (12.12.)
-740 GMATPrep 3 (23.12.)
-740 MGMAT CAT4 (28.12.)
-720 GMATPrep 2 (31.12.)
-720 MGMAT CAT5 (03.01)
-740 GMATPrep 4 (07.01.)
740 Actual GMAT (09.01.)
I studied around 3 hours per day for 2 months. As you can see, I took a lot of mock exams and answered many many practice questions. This strategy proved to be efficient, especially in the verbal section. I can definitely recommend the Manhattan Guides for both quant and verbal. I'm still a little bit disappointed in my quant performance, since I have already managed to be within the 78th percentile in my GMATPrep exams. Now I'll start my application process for MSc programs in Europe. I hope that my low quant won't be a problem for schools like HEC, LBS or ESADE.

A 740/Q45 is an outstanding performance and it puts you in position to apply to any Business School, so you should apply to whatever Schools you'd like to. While a Q45 might not look like a strong performance (because of the percentile), it still is. Certain Finance programs and Specialty MBAs might *prefer* a higher Quant Scaled Score, but if you get rejected from a School, it won't be because of your GMAT score.
