From a circular sheet of paper with a radius 20 cm, four circles of radius 5 cm each are cut out. What is the ratio of the uncut to the cut portion?
For cutting out the circle from bigger one, we need the area of all circles: (R=20, r=5)
πR^2-4πr^2=400π-100π=300π(uncut portion)
The rate of Uncut to Cut portion=300π/100π=3:1
The answer choice is C.
