Hello everyone, I want to share my GMAT journey to everyone.
I started out my journey in July 2020 (corona year, yay); and originally aimed for 720. Now me being bad at math, and relatively rusty in English (high school seems like an eternity ago). I took the official prep test 1; and scored 530. I then realised that surprise the test was hard.
So I looked online and opted for
magoosh to start training. After a month, I scored 580 on the prep test 2; now it then seemed to me that 720 was attainable.
Here's the thing guys, it's not as easy as that. In GMAT prep a few things are important:
- motivation
- discipline
- basics
- and mostly motivation
Fast forward 750 questions more and here comes September, my exam gets canceled, and finally after 1400 questions, I do my first attempt on October 24th. I scored 580, which was not enough. So I gritted my teeth and did it again on November 17th, scoring 630 (yay). (I managed to cram 300 questions in between the two, really don't recommend).
Now for those who still haven't done the test, good luck, study the basics, do as many different questions as you can, learn how to do question types, and try to have many lucky guesses!
