I posted this on the GMAT board also, but it may be better suited for this forum:
I took the GMAT today and scored a 570. My quant was a 44 and verbal was 25. I have been studying for 3+ months including a
Manhattan GMAT class. Before the
MGMAT class I scored a 580 on my practice test. After the class I took 3 practice tests and scored 650, 640 and 650 then studied for another 10 days and took the test hoping for a 650+. Anyway, my verbal score on the real thing was the worst I have ever scored. I wonder if I was just nervous and a little burnt out by the time I got to the verbal section. I am looking for any advice on books to read, strategies, etc. for the verbal section. I plan on taking the GMAT again in 4-6 weeks.
Also, any advice on applying during the 3rd round for business school? I was hoping to score 650+ and have my applications in for second rounds, but that doesn't look like it will be possible. I have been told the 3rd round is very difficult.
Thanks!
