Financial times recently published its second annual rankings of the best Bschools for extrepreneurship. Here are key things to note.
- Stanford tops the ranking second year in a row.
- Babson college rose to 2nd from 8th in the previous year.
- There are 7 US Schools in top 10.
- IE Business school is placed 8th. It’s highest ranked non-US school.
- The data for the ranking was gathered during a larger ranking survey from students who graduated with MBAs in 2012. Schools were assessed on percentage of graduates who started a company, as well as how many of those businesses were still trading at the end of 2015.
- Stanford came joint-first with Babson’s Olin for motivating students through the skills gained during their MBA.
- Stanford is also placed first for the extent to which alumni support one another when starting a company.
- Nearly half of Babson’s graduates — 46 % — started their own company.
- 56% of entrepreneurs from the top 25 MBA programs rated their school and alumni network as extremely helpful compared with only 44 % of entrepreneurs from the other MBA programs.
- Proportion of MBA graduates who set up their own company is 23% at top 25 MBA programs; at non ranked programs it is only about 15%

Stanford & Babson -- no surprise there IMO. They've really done well in entrepreneurship for many many years, and Babson has a very strong undergrad entrepreneurship program as well.
I'm personally surprised by how well Darden and Tuck do in this ranking. I've heard y'all we're doing well here, but wow! Kudos!!
