Hello
I am from India, having total professional work experience of 10+ years as on date.
I am planning to apply for full time MBA in Canada. I contacted few schools for pre-assessment of my profile and most of them informed that my experience is more than what they are looking for in a full time MBA program.
Kindly suggest whether I should apply.
Also, please suggest the alternate options. Please note that I don't want to do any part time or online program. I am looking forward to any on-campus full time program.

They are usually more optimistic during the pre-assessment then they might be during the actual assessment because they have a motivation to increase application volume. So if they’re telling you no now I don’t think it’s going to work out. If it’s something that will eat at you if you don’t do it then throw in the applications I mean if there’s not a great deal of effort involved. I know you said not to suggest alternatives but I think maybe Sloan fellows or something like that where it’s a one year residential program would be a better fit or one year programs. In the US. That’s another possible path to take.

First, I would like to understand your stand on EMBA as it seems more accurate according to your current situation. An EMBA program is designed specifically for candidates who have experience of around 8-10+ years. For more information, you can refer to our blog Top Executive MBA Programs.This would most certainly help clear any doubts and at the same time help understand all about top EMBA programs!
Coming to your profile, I would require your GMAT/GRE scores, ECAs, educational background, and more in-depth knowledge of your work experience.
Also for schools, I would suggest
1. HEC Montreal
2. Ivey business school
3. Rotman business school
4. Schulich (York)
All these are ranked top B-schools in Canada you could apply to. Now I would also like you to decide whether a one-year (I would prefer it) or a two-year program is suitable for you!
All in all, I would say we have a very brief knowledge about your profile, based on which we would suggest an EMBA. However, if you are fixated on an MBA, we could surely help strategize and build your profile accordingly.
