Folks,
I am in a huge dilemma. I have been working for an Indian based IT company for 12 years now, and have reached a point where things are stagnant. I have always wanted to so an MBA and due to personal/family commitments was never able to pursue it. Now I am in a position to finally do an an MBA. I am a single mom, and I prefer doing a Full time MBA . I had a conversation with one of the placement officer at Rotman about the Full time mba and learned that with my experience I might not be able to pursue a FT course, chances of the application getting rejected is high. The other option is Executive MBA but the catch is, I need to have a FT job to get into it. I am currently located in the US, I do not have a job offer in Toronto, so looks like the chances are pretty bleak there
Now my question is, is there any good college in US or Canada that takes candidates with 12 years of work exp into a full time course (assuming I have got a good GMAT score) ? if yes, which colleges would it be, so I could concentrate on them.
or
Is there a college that could enroll you for a Executive MBA without a full time job ? if yes, which one.
I really need a direction here on what I should do. Is it worth spending effort on GMAT preparations and end up not getting an admit anywhere ?
I am not too worried about the finance part of it. I don't mind being job less while studying. My current job/visa (H1B) is another thing that makes working and studying difficult. My job makes me move around locations too often. So If i plan on taking an EMBA in the current state, I can't be sure when my employer might move me to another location.
Would greatly appreciate all the possible pointers and ideas . Totally at the cross roads of confusion !!
Thanks !
