Other than time and cost, what are the advantages of a full time MBA vs a part time MBA? I'm applying for McCombs and was just curious what others thought. I would think that most everything else would be the same. (job placement rate? starting salary?)

Typically, there is no job placement in a part-time program. Many schools offer career services for full-time students only. Some services might be available to part-timers but not to the extent that are offered to full-timers.

Most big schools with both FT and PT programs allow PT to use career services if they are paying all of their school costs and/or their employer signs off on it. However, there are differences in how its viewed with lots of companies. I rarely remember PT people on closed lists and at recruiting events. People commonly talk about how its a lot more difficult to change careers going PT over FT.
Another thing to remember is while it might not always be the case FT'er alums tend to look more favorably on fellow FT. Sad to say but there tends to be some looking down on the PT'ers since the common view is that it is much easier to get into top 5 PT programs than top 10 FT programs.
