Im planning on applying to MBA programs within the next 3 or 4 years, and want to get an evaluation of where I'll be when applying.
Profile: 26-27 upon Matriculation/Male/Caucasian
School: Non-target state school
Academics: BA Economics 2.7 CGPA, better part of three years during undergrad back and forth between home and school to help care for sick family member
Gmat: 740, may retake and go for a higher score
School activities: Member of on-campus investment club, founded a fraternity and held leadership positions, member of a couple other clubs
Work Experience: 1 yr higher ed accounting, 3-4 years at a REIT
Targets: Darden (reachhh school), Gtown, Vandy, USC, UNC
Goals post-mba: Consulting(Corporate finance/M&A/Restructuring business lines) or IBD
Im open to suggestions for other schools to target, and what I can do to better improve my profile!

Well you have a very interesting split there between very high GMAT and very low GPA. IT's cool that you got that Awesome GMAT and that you also have some good reason for your low GPA. However, I'd love to know more about your work experience: Where do you work? What do you do? How quickly have you advanced? Do you have any leadership? What are your great achievements? Do you have notable community service or extra curriculars?
All of this will have a strong bearing on your chances.
But basically if all is good, I think ranking 10-30 should be a good spread for you.
