Actually, now that I look at that list... it is rather extensive.... i may have to narrow it down a little, but I would agree that the Harvard Business Review would be a great addition as a subscription.

Add The Economist to the list of subscriptions too!

Actually, I did subscribe to it, but canceled my subscription a while back. Although I have kept my subscriptions to BusinessWeek, Forbes, Wired, and Business 2.0.

You may want to read "Execution" by Larry Bossidy and Ram Charan.

I don't get it, are you looking for books / magazines that will help you with applications/interviews, during the MBA or in general? If the latter, then the list is endless. The first option has been addressed here before and the remaining option will be addressed after you enroll.

I am looking for both.... I still have quite a bit of time before I apply, and this topic probably belonged in the "Off Topic" section, but it never seems like anything gets replies in there. So, sorry for any confusion that this may have caused.

Thanks for that list.

Subscribe to the Wall Street Journal, Economist and Financial Times. It will cost you about 40 bucks a month for all though.

You can pick up most of the popular business books at your local library or buy them used at Amazon. I would also recommend audio books.

Top 4 that I'd add to the above:

Siddhartha (Hesse)
One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovitch (Solzhenitsyn)
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (The Good Doctor: Hunter S. Thompson)
The No Asshole Rule (Sutton)

Hmmm... interesting... I wonder if I could listen to the WSJ on my way to work in the car... could be a more useful use of my time... You've got me thinking about pulling out my ipod now.

I dont think newspapers are available. Just books for now.

You can try this following option from FT.com too:

You may need a subscription to FT.com to access some sections of the website though.
