Re:ECLP @ GE

Basically, this is a leadership program that rotates you through 4 of the 6 GE lines of businesses within a period of 2 years. Although this is an example of a GM rotational program, you will only be doing 2 job functions : Sales & Marketing. By the end of 2 years, most people discover a line of business that fits them and if the LOB agrees, you basically become a manager within that group. The pay I suspect will be lesser than the tier-1 MC firms, but the GE brand and the expertise you develop because of the program will set you up for high profile jobs later on.

I can get you more info on this if you want. I know someone who is going to intern at GE this summer.

Actually please do, I skipped the GE presentations, but I heard good things later on.

deckardbr, I'll try to write something meaningful later too, but I have to figure out some homework first... In short yes, Corp Strat and GM are very similar in many respects.

Thanks - by the way, I just found out we are both Italians. Just saw your original profile eval in the accepted.com section.

I'm about to submit mine as well - curious to see what the "forecast" will look like :-)
