Not a dumb question at all—clarity in wording is crucial for GMAT-style problems.

If a question says "twice as many A as B," it means the quantity of A is 2 times the quantity of B. Mathematically, this translates to:

A = 2B

Let's think like this... "twice as many A as B" can be thought of as "How may A's as B ? Twice "

If the question says ‘twice as many A as B’. How do we understand this?

I understand that this is very stupid and dumb question, but my mind is stuck on this!
This is not a dumb queston at all!

So, remember, "twice as many A as B" means there is MORE A than B. Thus, for A to equal B, we must multiply B by 2. So, the equation is:

A = 2B
