Pls explain an easy and fast way to solve this problem.
Thanks

ans is 11

get the equation of the line

(x/50)+(y/30)=1

3x+5y=150

y=(150-3x)/5
y=30-(3x)/5

x has to be multiples of 5 so as x can wary from 0 to 50

there are10 multiples of 5 in it and then 0 is also one

sototal is 11

Hi
If we find the equation of the given line PQ
we get 5y+3x=150

Now comes the shorter method bit
We will not try to substitute the value of Y.
We will only do it for x.
A number is divisible by 5 if it ends in 5 or 0.
This means to find Y, we need to subtract a multiple of 5 from 150
The multiples of 3 that ll qualify for this
3*0
3*5
3*10
3*15
3*20
3*25
3*30
3*35
3*40
3*45
3*50

As soon as x becomes 50, y becomes zero.
So a total of 11 values.

Another easy way to solve this is the calculate the slope of the line, we get M = -3/5

so the equation of the line is y = mx + c -- > y = -3/5 x + c

for which values of x would -3/5 * x be an integer ---> x has to be multiple of 5 between 0 - 50 there are 11 including 0.

sorry dint read the messages above before I posted this :)
