it should be E

less bickering ....increased cooperation

i think the addition of "less" has made "less bickering" a noun so we need a noun after "and".

is this understanding correct?

IMO E
"...result in X & Y". X & Y must be parallel. It is correctly done by E. B uses increased as a verb rather we need to use it as an adjective. E uses it correctly as an adjective.

(A) increasing the cooperation -> eliminate
(B) increase the cooperation -> E is better ,here result in needs to be followed by a noun hence increased cooperation is correct
(C) the increasing cooperation -> eliminate
(D) the cooperation increased -> eliminate
(E) increased cooperation -> result in cooperation is correct

Please explain your answer!
Thanks

Initially i marked B too but then it clicked that result in should be followd by noun hence may result in X and Y is the usage here

It should be E. result in -------------->increased cooperation. Put other options after result in. None except E is right.

OA is E. Here's why:

Less bickering: "less" is an adjective and "bickering" is a noun.

increased cooperation: "increased" is an adjective and "cooperation" is a noun, making the second part parallel to the first one.

Hope this helps.
