I wonder if the two threads linked to in my signature block would help.

Personally, for that amount of cost difference, I probably reapproch McDonough to see if they'll increase their offer and if not, take Stern and not think twice.

Yes, your links were helpful thanks for sharing.
Just to clarify, Stern is $60k higher than Georgetown, so you suggest attending GTown if Stern is not willing to offer more money. I believe you switched the school names in your message.

I’ve already asked Stern for a larger scholarship, and am waiting to hear back. .... fingers crossed.

If you get $0 additional from McDonough, I take Stern.

If you get a similar amount of additional money from both of them, I take Stern.

If you get a large amount from McDonough and nothing from Stern, it'll depend on other factors.

IMO

Stern

The career options you will have from Stern will outweigh the scholarship differential. Stern's edge over G'town extend beyond IB.

Pivoting career to operational / management consulting within educational/healthcare industries. I’ve been accepted to McDonough ($) and Stern ($). I love the collaborative feel and overall culture of McDonough, but NYU has a strong network and higher ranking. Given that I’m not interested in IB, is it worth it to pay ~$60k more to attend Stern, when I’m more drawn to the culture at McDonough?

Pick Stern. The ROI will be better Post MBA. congratulations

Maybe in terms of total $$$ on a pre-tax basis.
Possibly in terms of total $$$ on a post-tax basis.
Doubtful in terms of % ROI.

the extra 60k he would have to pay for going to stern will balance out in the long term...so long term %ROI will be better for stern

Maybe. It's always easy to anonymously spend someone else's money.

... I'm still interested in answers to my earlier questions should the OP care to drop back in. :)
