Hi Guys,
I'm an Indian male engineer with 3 years of Risk Advisory Consulting with a Big 4 consulting firm. I'm also a stand-up comic. I want to pursue a career in product management / strategy at a tech company and continue stand-up comedy on the side.
While both are fantastic options, I'm torn between the tech companies operating out of the US and the ease of getting a work permit in Canada post MBA.
What are some of your thoughts on this?

Congrats on your admits!
Keep in mind that whie Canada is easier for work permit, getting a job in Canada as an MBA grad is actually harder since most emphasis is on the Work Experience. It is good you have the consulting brand name on your resume but if you are switching industries, it can be a bigger struggle in a smaller market. There are great things about Canada and generally I would say it is a safer bet but safety comes at a trade off of an opportunity, so I would choose depending on how you feel in terms of bullishness. Are you ready to have a quiet life or are you looking for a wild ride?

Hey rohanparekh, Congrats on the Admit. Did you get any scholarships from these two schools?
Canada is a great option if you want to get Permanent resident status quickly. I'm not sure about the recruitment at Schulich for PM or strategy role at Tech. Did you talk to any Alums or current students?
At MSB, there are a lot of tech companies hiring for Product and Program Manager roles. You will also have a STEM MBA, so it shouldn't be a problem at MSB while recruiting for Tech. Also, since you have Big-4 experience, you might get into consulting(based on your GMAT on your profile) at MSB as BCG, Bain, Big-4, and other consulting firms recruits. Tech Companies' Strategy roles are hard to come by as they look for at least 2 years of MBB experience. Your chances of getting in Bain and BCG are high at MSB than at Schulich if you want strategy roles at Tech firms for your long-term goals.
P.S: Try negotiating scholarships at both schools as you have a great GMAT score.
