Does anyone have an opinion on Georgetown's MSF program? I realize it is relatively new to the scene and that is has an online element to it, but the Georgetown reputation has to count for something. Plus the employment reports are impressive: 100% of "early career" graduates were employed within 6 months of graduating with an average base salary of $98,000. Compared to the employment figures of say Oxford's MFE and LSE's MSF, Georgetown's numbers are far more impressive.
Plus there was an online Youtube video that looked at years of data on sites such as Linkedin and determined that Georgetown is among the top target schools for Investment Banks.
I just don't get why it isn't a more highly regarded program. I suppose it is quite expensive but it is a 21 month long program.
Any feedback would be great. Thanks

Georgetown McDonough is very underrated when it comes to its finance program. The training and placement are quite excellent.
The fact that the program is relatively new is the reason why it may not be as well known. The school might not be putting in a ton of marketing dollars to pump it up. That does not take away from the quality. Plus, as you noted, being part of the Georgetown community and brand will open up doors.
Are you considering an offer or an applciation? What else are you weighing and why specifically the interest in Georgetown MSF?

Thanks for the response. I have tried doing some research on the program online but I can't find much. Plus on WallStreetOasis there is some dislike for the program and it just seems people do not consider it a top MSF program. However, the same people will consider Vanderbilt, Villanova and USC as great MSF programs. No disrespect to those three, they are solid, but Georgetown should be right there.
I think the fact that Georgetown's MSF is considered an "online" degree, even though it's really a hybrid program with the opportunity to have in-person lectures and utilize the facilities on campus, is a big reason why people disparage the program. Also I have heard a few people on forums criticize the career development office yet the employment figures would suggest that Georgetown is doing an excellent job of getting their MSF graduates job opportunities.
Personally, I am considering an offer with scholarship. So I was hoping to gain a better idea of what people think of the program. I am also considering a few other programs as well so just trying to make a decision lol
