Hello all! Very sorry about the long post, but really need some advice from you guys

I'm looking for some advice on whether, in my case, it makes sense to retake the GMAT and, if the answer is yes, ways to prepare for it. Any help would be extremely useful!! :-D

Current: final year Econ undergrad at one of Oxford/Cambridge/LSE. Grade: Expecting a comfortable First Class overall (course selection was quant-heavy). Fairly Good ECs - main highlights:
1) team leader and then president of society offering consulting services to charity organisations and small businesses
2) VP for society focused on developing leadership attributes of members
3) Football(Soccer) + Successful long-term investment competition

Future: Signed with a BB IB in London. Hoping to do a MBA at H/S/W after a few years of work experience. Also contemplating applying for HBS 2+2 in R3 - more for the experience, since I know the programme's extremely competitive. Nevertheless, before I graduate this year, I want to get a GMAT score with which I would be comfortable applying.

Used MGMAT (5 textbooks for Quant and RC, CR and SC books for Verbal) and OG13 to prepare (took about 1.5 months). Test scores in chronological order:
MGMAT 1: 680 (Q48,V35)
MGMAT 2: 670 (Q46,V35)
MGMAT 3: 700 (Q45,V40)
MGMAT 4: 710 (Q50,V36)
MGMAT 5: 680 (Q46,V37)

GMATprep 1: 760 (Q50, V42) - IR 8
GMATprep 2: 740 (Q51, V38) - IR 8

Actual GMAT: 740 (Q49, V41) - AWA 6, IR 8

Quant wasn't the best, but I know that where I have room to improve is Verbal. If I can get my Verbal to ~45 I could significantly improve the overall picture. Ideally, I would like a 760+ score. I know that 740 is a good score, that adcoms look at the separate scores and that I shouldn't be stressing too much over it. But my goal is to get a score with which I will be happy applying to my schools of choice in 4 years. Also, a higher score might help if I wish to move to PE after 1-2 years of work, which would ultimately help with an MBA application.

Q1: Given the whole picture - is it worth retaking the GMAT, so that I can be better prepared for Verbal? (I'd really like to do that, however, I only recently found out that schools would actually see past scores that I have put on my report card) I feel that my true score should be higher than 740 and that I could easily get that.
Q2: If I decided to improve my verbal, how should I get those extra 5 points? number of errors on the verbal section is usually in the 6-8 region and quite evenly split between RC CR and SC.

Thank you so much for any help! It's something that I've been stressing over for the past month and any advice would be very useful

Bumping up from 740 to 760 shouldn't be very hard though it will be pretty worthless. An eye popping 800 sure has its charm and coupled with AWA 6 and IR 8 (as you got this time) might make the adcom bookmark your app (of course, the essays still need to be phenomenal). So the point is this - since you have time on your side, either shoot for an 800 score or put the lid on GMAT. Another 740/750 score will do nothing except make adcom wonder why you decided to retake since a balanced 740 is anyway great!

For an 800, you will need 51 on Quant and 51 on Verbal - both of which will demand a lot of effort. In my opinion, you should move on. Focus on extra curricular activities and your final year course.
