How did you feel about Focus edition vs Classic? Or a test as a test and it’s really really all about the prep?

I believe Focus is a good option if you're fairly strong with Quant as two out 3 sections accounted in final score are Quant-based.
All in all, the prep for Focus is majorly a subset of Classic with 2 modifications:

1. IR is adaptive
2. DS is more real-life situation / word problems

The DI OG was quite helpful in navigating the DI section.

Holy poop on a stick, garvit22! This is an absolutely jaw-dropping score, equivalent to a 770 or 780 on the old GMAT, according to the official concordance table. That's incredible.

You deserve a cookie. Congratulations, and have fun with your applications!

Phew! Finally done with GMAT!

After 2 attempts of Classic (660, 700) and 2 attempts of Focus (675, 755), I can finally put this test to rest!

Quant - 90 (100th percentile)
Verbal - 83 (86th percentile)
DI - 89 (100th percentile)

Resources Used: OG and Official Mocks (1-5; each attempted twice)

Tip: Emphasise on:
1. Quality PRACTICE (not quantity)
2. Quality ANALYSIS
a. Verbal (not only why you got a question wrong, but the ones you got right, did you get it right for the correct reasons / are there other ways of eliminating wrong options faster)

b. Quant (are there other faster / shorter / analytical / geometrical approaches to the question)

Wow! What a score! You've absolutely nailed it with your strategy of focusing on quality practice and analysis, especially in understanding not just why you got questions wrong, but also ensuring you got them right for the right reasons. Good luck as you move forward!

Congratulations!

Since you are a GMAT veteran (4 attempts!), would love to hear from you about the differences & pros/cons of GMAT focus over the classic GMAT.
