Explanation:
F(2) = (2-4)^2
= 4
G(2) = 2^2 - 5
= -1
F(2)-G(2) = 4 -(-1)
= 5

Given that \(f(x) = (x − 4)^2\) and \(g(x) = x^2 − 5\) and we need to find the value of f(2) − g(2)
Lets start by finding the value of f(2)
To find f(2) we need to compare what is inside the bracket () in f(2) and f(x)
=> We need to substitute x with 2 in \(f(x) = (x − 4)^2\) to get the value of f(2)
=> \(f(2) = (2 − 4)^2\) = \((-2)^2\) = 4
Similarly, \(g(2) = 2^2 − 5\) = 4 - 5 = -1
=> f(2) − g(2) = 4 - (-1) = 4 + 1 = 5
So, Answer will be D
