I went with Choice E first. But then after looking at the answers felt that it was a mistake. D is right because incase of any uncertainty(desires/proposals/requests/hopes) its better to use that + infinitive form (without to)

Remember reading it in MGMAT SC Guide :( My bad..

Cheers,
S

I agree that 'D' is da strongest contender for da ans. As it is in a Subjunctive form

But I don't know where does 'B" fail. Is using a participle modifier incorrect here?

Given that most Misubishi cars on the road have some problems with tyre, the Misubishi Company yielded to hundreds of unsatisfied buyers requesting it to call back the cars on the market.

Participles should be used for modifying clauses. The participle (requesting) used in option B is not correct.

D is correct.

Its D and correct me if I am wrong. I chose it for the following reasons

1)Didn't think requesting was parallel to the word yielded
2) Somehow in " requesting it to" who is the "it" referring to? Buyers or Mistubishi? so a who was required.

If i am wrong..please correct me coz, I might end up using the same strategy in GMAT :D

I agree with you sicne the comoany has already accepted to the consumer needs then requesting is inappropariate ...

2 However I donot agree with your second point . If you see option D also has .".it "..

I will recommend , that go by the rule that subjunctive + infinitive ( without to ) ...this can be clearly seen in the option D ... and hence correct

regards
